About

The Biotech Marketing Group (BMG) was started in 2008 in response to the need for networking and communication in the field. Mary Canady, Founder of Comprendia, LLC., formed it, along with help from Stinson Brand Innovation, who created the logo and provided input. The group exists on LinkedIn as well. Our goal? 500 members by mid 2009. We envision that this resource will serve as a sounding board for your ideas about biotech and life science marketing, allow you to learn about the resources available, and to facilitate networking with your peers. Membership is open to all professionals who work in marketing, business development, and sales in the life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and medical device industries. In addition, we'll also include anyone who can add value to this site, including media representatives.

One detail about joining: the software behind this site is powerful, but we don't have control over everything. One question that you may find irritating is the Date of Birth. You don't have to enter your true date of birth, if you don't wish to due to privacy issues, but record what you enter in the event you are asked for the information. In addition, you can choose not to show your age to others when you sign up, or on the settings page (My Page).
