We've seen companies like GE Healthcare, Thermo Fisher, and Invitrogen swallow up brands (Amersham, Molecular Probes, Dharmacon) like they're going out of style. Are they? Do you feel as though brands are not as revered in Biotech as they are in other industries? What was the most surprising branding decision you've seen over the past few years, and which ones have had the most fallout?
Hi ,
this is in responce to aquisitions of big brands , and some brands going out of style and minds of the users . There were many concers in India , however nowdays there is a general acceptance of this way of global business scenario where in aquisitions , mergers have become common . Customers are certainly concered over the brand consolidation which happens sooner or later after aquisitions, ie.one of the "dulicate" products gets eliminated .
